Q. When is the best time of year to lay turf?

A. Turf can be laid any time of the year as long as the ground can be prepared. In summer you need to ensure that the turf can be watered regulary.

Q. How long after laying the turf can it be walked on?

A. You should wait until the turf is well rooted, usually 2-3 weeks.

Q. How long after the turf has been laid can I mow the lawn?

A. During the growing season the turf can root within a week. If you try lifting a corner of the turf and it is firmly rooted down then you can give a first cut. Set your mower high so that you are only trimming the grass and then gradually lower the height to the desired length, don't forget the lower the height of cut the more maintenance your lawn will require!!

Q. How big are the rolls of turf?

A. Our standard size rolls cover 1 square metre and our large rolls cover 15   square metres.
